Bill Dunn graduated from VMI with a BA in Biology. He has had a career in banking and served as president of the Savings Bank of Northern Virginia. He has been active in community service and was president of Chesterbrook School PTA, the McLean Art Society, the Falls Church Lions Club, and the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce. He was also treasurer of the Chesterbrook Swim Club.
After he retired in 2001, he began to spend more time playing golf, reading, and drawing and painting, and has continued these hobbies for over twenty years. He has taken courses in drawing and painting through the VCU off-campus graduate art program and NOVA.
